Indonesian Craft, Japanese Technique
The knife factory in Magetan, East Java uses traditional Japanese forging techniques to produce blades with exceptional craftsmanship at an accessible price point. 5160 carbon steel is a tough, resilient steel with good edge retention - widely used in high-performance blades. The migaki hand-sanded finish gives the blade a clean, refined satin appearance. The amboyna burl and purple resin handle is individually crafted - no two are identical.
Care and Maintenance
- Hand wash only - never dishwasher
- Dry immediately after washing to prevent rust
- Apply a light coat of camellia or food-safe mineral oil periodically
- Sharpen on a whetstone - carbon steel responds well
- Store on a magnetic strip or in a knife roll
