Why the Kay Pro Works

The fold-down heel strap is the Kay Pro's defining feature - it locks the foot securely in place during service, eliminating the slip-out risk that open-back clogs carry during fast-paced movement. When you need to step out of them quickly, the strap folds flat in seconds. The PU coated leather upper resists the splashes, stains, and grime of a working kitchen without sacrificing the natural breathability of leather. Underfoot, the classic Birkenstock cork-latex footbed moulds gradually to the shape of your foot, providing personalised arch support and cushioning that improves with wear. The dual-component outsole - EVA midsole for shock absorption, rubber outsole for grip - is independently tested for slip resistance on wet and greasy surfaces.

Care and Maintenance

• Wipe the upper clean with a damp cloth after each shift - do not submerge in water
• Condition the leather periodically with a suitable leather conditioner to maintain suppleness
• Allow to air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight
• Clean the footbed with a slightly damp cloth - do not soak
• Store in a cool, dry place; use a shoe tree to maintain shape if storing long-term
