Makoto Kurosaki
Like his brother Yu Kurosaki, Makoto Kurosaki trained under Hiroshi Kato san in Takefu, and has become a skilled craftsman in his own right. Kurosaki-san is an expert sharpener and a knife “designer” of sorts. He works with local blacksmiths including Kato san, Ikeda san and his brother Yu Kurosaki obtain blades and select their design, sharpening and branding them himself.
This line is forged from SG2 powdered steel and cladded in stainless. SG2 is a stainless steel that has very long edge life and ease of sharpening. Lightweight and thin, these knives are perfect for prep and detail work. Fitted with octagonal cherry wood handles.

Use and Care
- Do not attempt to cut, hit or chop frozen products or bones. The blade can chip or break.
- Hand wash with warm water and towel dry.
- Use a sharpening stone to maintain the sharpness of the blade.
- Do not use a dishwasher to clean your knife.
