The Crafter line is Wüsthof's most distinctive - the same X50CrMoV15 steel and PEtec precision as the Classic, but finished with a smoked oak handle that brings warmth and character to the bench. The Santoku's flatter blade profile excels at the up-and-down chopping motion, handling vegetables, proteins, and fruit with equal confidence - mincing herbs, slicing fish, and dicing onions with the same fluid efficiency. PEtec sharpening grinds the edge to a precise 14° on each side for a sharper, longer-lasting edge than conventionally sharpened knives. Forged from a single piece of steel in Solingen, Germany.

Care & Maintenance

• Hand wash only - the smoked oak handle is not dishwasher safe
• Dry immediately after washing - do not soak or leave the handle wet
• Hone regularly with a honing steel to maintain the 14° edge
• Sharpen with a whetstone or professional sharpening service when needed
• Occasionally treat the oak handle with a food-safe wood oil to keep it conditioned
• Store on a magnetic strip or in a knife block to protect the edge
