Experience German Precision in Its Most Compact Form, Finished in Smoked Oak

The Wüsthof Crafter Paring Knife 9cm is the detail knife of the Crafter line - a small, nimble blade for peeling, trimming, and all the in-hand work that demands complete control, fitted with the smoked oak handle that makes the Crafter range instantly distinctive.

The Specs

  • Steel: X50CrMoV15 high-alloy steel, forged from a single piece - 58 HRC
  • Edge: PEtec (Precision Edge Technology) - double-ground to 14° each side
  • Blade length: 9cm (3.5 in.) - slim, tapered blade with pointed tip
  • Handle: Smoked oak, full-tang, triple-riveted
  • Manufacturing: Forged - Solingen, Germany

German Steel. Rustic Soul.

The Crafter Paring Knife's slim, tapered blade narrows to a fine point - ideal for peeling garlic cloves, trimming herbs, segmenting citrus, and all the precise detail work that a larger blade simply can't reach. PEtec sharpening grinds the edge to a precise 14° on each side for a finer, longer-lasting edge. The smoked oak handle brings warmth and character to the bench - the same X50CrMoV15 steel and German precision as the Classic, with a handle that makes it unmistakably its own. Forged from a single piece of steel in Solingen, Germany.

Care & Maintenance

  • Hand wash only - the smoked oak handle is not dishwasher safe
  • Dry immediately after washing - do not soak or leave the handle wet
  • Hone regularly with a honing steel to maintain the 14° edge
  • Sharpen with a whetstone or professional sharpening service when needed
  • Occasionally treat the oak handle with a food-safe wood oil to keep it conditioned
  • Store on a magnetic strip or in a knife block to protect the edge
