Wüsthof's double-serrated edge is the key difference - serrations within the serrations mean the blade stays sharp for longer, requires less pressure, and produces smoother, more precise cuts than a single-serrated edge. Hard crusts are not crushed when sliced, and soft crusts are cut cleanly without tearing the delicate surface. The 23cm blade covers the full width of any loaf in a single stroke. Care & Maintenance
Hand wash only - the smoked oak handle is not dishwasher safe
Dry immediately after washing - do not soak or leave the handle wet
Do not hone - serrated edges do not require honing
Sharpen with a professional sharpening service when needed - serrated edges require specialist equipment
Occasionally treat the oak handle with a food-safe wood oil to keep it conditioned
Store on a magnetic strip or in a knife block to protect the blade
