Wüsthof has been forging knives in Solingen since 1814. The 16cm blade is the choice for cooks who want agility over reach - quicker through herbs, more precise on smaller vegetables, and easier to control for those who find a full-length chef's knife tiring. PEtec sharpening uses a laser-controlled process to grind the edge to a precise 14° on each side. The full-tang, triple-riveted synthetic handle is comfortable, durable, and won't harbour bacteria. Forged from a single piece of X50CrMoV15 steel in Solingen, Germany.
Care & Maintenance
- Hand wash recommended - dishwasher safe but not recommended for longevity
- Dry immediately after washing
- Hone regularly with a honing steel to maintain the 14° edge
- Sharpen with a whetstone or professional sharpening service when needed
- Store on a magnetic strip or in a knife block to protect the edge
