Heritage and Character
Seki Magoroku takes its name from Magoroku Kanemoto - a legendary 16th-century master swordsmith whose forging techniques produced blades renowned for being unbreakable and exceptionally sharp. KAI Corporation carries that name as their premier retail brand. The funayuki sits between a deba and a yanagiba in geometry - thinner than a deba, shorter than a yanagiba, with a single-bevel grind that gives it the slicing precision of a dedicated Japanese blade at a compact 150mm length. Carbon steel at this format takes a hard, fine edge that makes fish and poultry work feel effortless. The magnolia wood handle is the traditional pairing: lightweight, moisture-resistant, and balanced in the hand. A versatile vintage Japanese blade from a name with a 600-year lineage.
Care and Maintenance

- Store in original box or on a magnetic rack - never loose in a drawer
