At 120mm, this ko-deba sits between the smallest debas and the full-size workhorse - nimble enough for small fish and poultry, with enough weight to handle light butchery tasks. Fully forged with a full tang and a traditional magnolia wood handle, the double-bevel geometry makes it more accessible than a traditional single-bevel deba while retaining the thick spine and robust construction the style is known for. Carbon steel takes a keener edge than stainless and rewards regular whetstone maintenance.
Care and Maintenance
- Hand wash only - never dishwasher
- Dry immediately after washing
- Apply a light coat of camellia oil after drying to prevent rust
- Sharpen on a whetstone - carbon steel responds well to regular honing
- Store in a saya or on a magnetic rack
