The Kanetsune Difference
Kanetsune has been forging knives in Seki City since the tradition of "Seki-den" sword-making was established over 800 years ago. DSR-1K6 is a fine-grained stainless steel developed for cutlery - corrosion resistant, easy to maintain, and capable of taking a clean, sharp working edge. At just 1.8mm thick, this is a notably thin blade for a nakiri, making it exceptionally precise through vegetables. The hammered tsuchime finish creates small air pockets between blade and food, reducing drag and preventing thin slices from sticking. The red pakka wood handle adds a bold visual contrast and a durable, moisture-resistant grip.
Care and Maintenance
