Where Ancient Craft Meets Modern Steel
Each Shun Premier knife takes at least 100 handcrafted steps to complete. The VG-MAX steel core is clad in layers of Damascus stainless steel - and near the edge, where the steels meet, an undulating line forms that echoes the hamon of a traditionally tempered samurai sword. The hammered tsuchime finish creates a series of hollow-ground cavities along the blade that reduce drag and help food release cleanly. Both knives share the same contoured walnut-coloured PakkaWood® handle with embossed end cap - comfortable, durable, and won't harbour bacteria. Note: presented in a stylish black Shun branded gift box - some older images show a timber box which is no longer available.
